Justin Matts brings over 15 years of experience working with youth, with the last 9 years working with ‘At-Risk-Youth’. For 7 years, Justin worked for Child Protective Services (CPS) as a Child Abuse Investigator, and spent the last year of his career there as a CPS Supervisor. Justin obtained his Master’s in counseling Psychology and quickly utilized his experience and learning into a private practice setting, specializing in working with ‘At-Risk-Youth’. In 2015, Justin became H.E.A.L. certified as a Facilitator in Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy and Learning. Previously, his volunteer work and internship was with Teen Challenge International where he facilitated a men’s group before obtaining a full time position with CPS. Justin has always had a passion for working with children beginning in his teen years while volunteering for a local Christian Camp called SAMBICA, where he spent numerous summers as a camp counselor. He then obtained a position at a local Child Development Focused soccer facility where he spent 10 years, working with all ages of children from 2-15 year olds. Justin’s passion and heart for children, along with his education and experience with ‘At-Risk-Youth’ allows him to seamlessly integrate into Raven Rock Ranch with an emphasis and focus on the children’s mental health and wellbeing. Justin also has over 13 years of Event Planning/Promotions Experience which will allow him to increase Raven Rock’s social media presence while fostering relationships and partnerships with community members and business owners.
