“Dear Raven Rock Ranch,
I can’t thank you enough for the things you have done for me over the time I have been at the ranch. I came to Raven Rock feeling worthless, useless and a waste of space. Raven Rock gave me a purpose and a reason to continue when I had none.
I can’t express my gratitude for all I have learned over the time I spent here. From learning about horses, to work ethic to what Christianity really looks like.
The horses, and the family you have all become to me are what kept me alive in my most hopeless moments.
Thank you and much love,”

I was recently asked what I would consider a good outcome for one of our students. I shared the letter above with them. Anyone who comes not wanting to live anymore and changes into a person with a person and a reason to live is a “win” from my point of view. Usually, with a change of heart comes other victories: finishing high school when they were way behind, becoming a connected person to their family and (good) friends. Those things are important, too, but nothing as significant as wanting to live. This is why I say that when you donate to Raven Rock Ranch, you are saving lives- because you are.
These pictures below represent the number of kids whose lived you saved this year!
We have recently received a big grant from Timberlake church-$10,000. They know and support us because we are effective at helping at-risk kids-one life at a time. Liberty Road Foundation has raised $23,000 from their Fashion Show in May. We will receive that money on July 5.
In May, Give Big was a great success due, largely to Mike and Liz Thornton’s surprising and welcome donation of $15000! It made Give Big really B I G for us.
Our long-time supporters, Jayne and David Boker have gifted us a generous $7,000.
My deepest gratitude to all of these caring people!!!
These large gifts are humbling and greatly needed during this time when foundations and grants seem more interested in “diversity” than outcomes. We have never turned anyone away. But we do not keep a record of what “group” they fall into. God loves everyone, and so do we. Our grants are down and so we are depending on individuals more now than we ever have.
How can you help? How about some FUN? We are having a “WILD WEST BBQ” that we want you to come to!

With love and blessings,
Sandy
